Privacy Policy
What this site collects, why, who it goes to, and what it leaves in your browser.
Last Updated:
This policy covers the website of Batterline San Diego Retaining Walls (“Batterline”, “we”). It describes what the site actually does with information today. If that changes, this page changes with it, and the date above shows when it was last updated.
What you send through the estimate form
The estimate form on this site, including the version on the resources page that releases the printable checklist, collects what you type into it: the service or situation you pick, your ZIP code, your first name, your last name if you give it, your phone number, your email address if you give it, and your message. Along with those, the form sends the page you sent it from, a general label for how you reached the site (for example “Google Organic”, “Referral” or “Direct”, never the full address of the page you came from), the type of form, and a randomly generated ID that prevents a request from being recorded twice if you press the button again.
The form sends this to an address on this same website (/api/lead), which passes it to the system Batterline uses to receive and route estimate requests. Nothing you type into the form goes from your browser to any other site. The information is used to respond to your request: to contact you about your wall, to arrange a site visit and to prepare an estimate. To do that, it is shared with the contractor who would carry out the work in your area.
Spam protection
To keep automated spam out, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads only when you start filling in a form, and it checks signals from your browser to decide whether a real person is using it. Cloudflare processes that check under its own privacy policy. The result is passed along with your request so the request can be accepted; your network address is passed for the same check.
Analytics
The site measures visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and performance (for example how quickly a page loads) without setting cookies and without building a profile of you across other websites. It reports totals, such as how many people viewed a page, rather than who viewed it.
Cookies and browser storage
This site does not set cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab or window, for two things: remembering the general label for how you first reached the site during that visit, so a request is credited to the right source, and remembering that you already received the printable checklist, so you don’t have to fill in the form twice in one visit. Cloudflare Turnstile may store what it needs to complete its check when a form is in use.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites, such as government agencies for permit rules and Google Maps for the service-area maps. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover. The maps on this site are drawn on the page itself and don’t load anything from Google until you follow the link.
Your choices
You don’t have to use the form; you can call instead. If you sent a request and want to know what is held about you, want it corrected, or want it deleted, call the number at the top of this page or send the form with your request in the message. Depending on the law that applies to you, including California privacy law, you may have specific rights to know about, correct or delete personal information.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning work on their property and is not directed at children.
